PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for Squarewave Parade Safeplaces RUST & TARNISH plus 3 Utility Boxes. These boxes came to us from a large Eurorack synthesizer collector. They were used to solve various audio problems and all work flawlessly.

  • "these are a very limited run of shaker boxes, only 5 of each and each set has 5 different designs. there is a piezo element used as a contact mic that i’ve attached to the inside wall using industrial epoxy, then i filled the case with a bunch of random shit.... springs, nails, rocks, coins, bearings, etc... the RUST has a simple 1/4" output jack on it and nothing else. the TARNISH has a passive lowpass filter/ attenuator that will let you filter off the high end for more of a bassy rumble and at higher settings turn down the output volume. the TARNISH also has a locking 1/4" jack to keep the cable from falling out and the components on the inside are sealed in black rubber. both will also work as contact mics and when placed in front of an amp they will feedback. the TARNISH due to the filter will need a slightly higher volume to feedback but the filter will let you control the pitch and volume of it so i felt it was worth the trade off"

NOTE: We mistakenly opened up and threw away the "Random shit" (springs, nails, rocks, coins etc) from two of the boxes. We thought somebody made these bud boxes into percussion shakers with all that crap in them and so we opened them up and chunked the debris. It wasn't until we did some further research and discovered what they were. Nothing valuable was lost as it was truly random stuff in there that anyone can find.
