Up for sale, a 1979 Boss PH-1 Phaser in perfect working order. The original Boss compact phaser pedal, this is an extremely early "silver screw" version of the PH-1, also featuring the small inked serial number above the switch in the battery compartment.
This phaser offers incredibly lush, undulating swooshes. The Rate control has a particularly wide range from 100ms to 16 seconds, and the Depth is very responsive for subtle effects to dynamic swells.
The pedal has light wear on the enclosure edges and on the silkscreened graphics. The black foil “Made in Japan” label is present, and the inked serial number in the battery compartment dates the pedal to September, 1979.
