This was a drum shell, with BEAUTIFUL original sky blue pearl wrap, that I rescued! When I got it, it had multiple extra holes where I think someone had planned on turning it into a snare drum!

Well, I filled the holes with maple plugs and covered them with identical (same vintage) Ludwig Sky Blue Pearl dots. I did not fill 3 other tiny holes (they were too small and I left them alone). The lugs are in wonderful condition and so are the hoops (the hoops are not original). This is definitely what I’d call a player’s drum (a vintage concert tom converted to dual head), but it just happens to be way prettier than your everyday player’s drum!

I’m hoping there is someone out there that has been waiting for a 12x8 tom for their 70s Sky Blue Pear kit.
