A great reminder of a time of extended guitar solos and heavy-duty axes, this is a 1980 Yamaha SG2000 with a Cherry Sunburst finish. The SG2000 is built like a tank with a solid mahogany body and maple top, neck-through construction, and a brass sustain block which the bridge sits on. This guitar is in very good playing condition; there's some minor scratches but nothing which breaks through the finish, the binding between the neck and horns is peeling up slightly, but nothing extensive or coming off the body. There's light pitting and corrosion on the hardware. The guitar plays wonderfully and includes the original case!
