The Waldorf Iridium Core is a compact desktop synthesizer built around the same Quantum / Iridium software platform as the larger Iridium and Quantum instruments. It keeps the five core engines and a graphical UI in a smaller metal box that fits laptop bags and tight desk setups.

Sonic explorer

Wavetable, multi/granular sampling, waveform, Kernel FM, and resonator engines combine with digital filters and processing so you can sketch the same family of sounds as Iridium Desktop, then move patches across the Waldorf Synthesis Platform OS as updates arrive for the whole family.

Travel and studio

Factory content includes a large preset and sample set (typically 1,700+). The Core is meant as a team player with modular gear, drum machines, sequencers, and computers, without taking a full Iridium Desktop footprint.
