Up for sale is a 2013 Fender Japan JG66 ’62 Reissue Jaguar in 3-Tone Sunburst, complete with a hard-shell case.

This is a very nice Made in Japan Jaguar that captures the look, feel, and tone of the original early-’60s models extremely well. With its alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, vintage-style 7.25" radius, and original Fender Jaguar single-coils, it delivers the classic short-scale offset experience that has made Jaguars so beloved for decades.

Fender Japan did an excellent job with these reissues, and this one is a particularly clean and well-kept example.

The JG66 is one of Fender Japan’s most popular offset reissue models for good reason. It stays very true to the original ’62 Jaguar formula, featuring the traditional lead/rhythm circuit layout, short-scale feel, floating tremolo system, and bright, articulate Jaguar pickups.

These MIJ Jaguars are known for their strong consistency, vintage-correct feel, and excellent craftsmanship, making them a favorite among both players and collectors.

Tone & Feel

A good Jaguar has a sound and feel all its own, and this one absolutely delivers. The short scale, vintage-style radius, and original Jaguar pickups give it the bright, articulate, slightly wiry response players expect from the model, while still maintaining warmth and fullness when dialed in correctly.

It works beautifully for surf, indie, post-punk, alternative, shoegaze, and clean rhythmic playing, but can also handle more aggressive tones surprisingly well.

The neck feels smooth and comfortable in hand, and the guitar has a nicely balanced feel overall.
