Slingerland 20/12/14/5x14" Radio King Early 60's 5n Modern Jazz Outfit - Sky Blue Pearl

Here's a clean set of 5N Modern Jazz Slingerlands finished in their original Sky Blue Pearl wrap and sized 14x20", 8x12", and 14x14" with a matching 5x14" Radio King snare drum! Excellent 3-point strainer on this solid maple snare. The toms and bass on this set are 3-ply mahiogany/poplar/mahogany, and all the tone controls work great. The rail consolette on the bass drum has a little bit of rust/pitting wear, but nothing too severe - pictured. The 8x12" has a tiny bit of bubbling in the wrap behind some lugs, and the 14x14" has a little more of these bubbling instances. I've done my best to picture those too. No splits from any of these. There's a "Faust Music Milwaukee" sticker under the badge on the bass drum that keeps this set's midwestern roots known!

Steve’s Notes: Here’s another great kit that I picked up at the recent Chicago Drum Show. I love this one! Beautiful 60s era Slingerland 8x12, 14x14, 14x20 and 5x14 solid shell Radio King snare drum! (NOTE: No badges on the 12 and 14, which is correct for this era. During this time Slingerland only badged the snare and bass drum.

Wonderfully warm and articulate Slingerland early 60s era shell and the solid maple Radio King are a wonderful combination. Fabulous set for either live work or in the studio.
