With the Epiphone Futura RD Custom Twilight Shift, the eccentric RD design makes its way into the lavishly equipped Futura series. Designed specifically for modern players, the Modern-C mahogany neck, combined with a compound radius that increases from 10 inches to 14 inches, offers the best playing conditions for maximum precision. On the tonal front, meanwhile, two Epiphone ProBucker Ignite pickups in the neck and bridge positions deliver a multifaceted sound spectrum, ranging from clearly articulated clean tones to rich distortion. A particular highlight is that both tone controls feature push/pull functions, allowing both pickups to be operated in single-coil mode when required. The Futura RD Custom is rounded off by a combination of a LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge and a LockTone Stopbar, six Grover tuning machines with locking mechanisms, and a particularly stylish Twilight Shift finish.
