The Ibanez RG470PB Standard electric guitar brings together speed, strength and precision for nearly limitless creative potential. With its thin, fast Wizard III maple neck and jumbo frets on a 24-fret fingerboard, the RG470PB offers incredible playability. Its versatile HSH Quantum pickup configuration provides a broad tonal palette. The guitar's Edge-Zero II locking tremolo bridge ensures rock-solid tuning stability for dive bombs and flutter effects. All this makes the Ibanez RG470PB a high-performance instrument ready to handle the most demanding technical playing.
Lightweight, Resonant Meranti Body
The RG470PB's lightweight meranti body contributes to the guitar's comfort and playability. Meranti produces a balanced tone with enhanced mid scoop and low-end punch. The beautiful poplar burl top not only looks exotic, but also adds resonance and sustain. Overall, the body design provides hours of fatigue-free playing time.
Versatile Pickup Configuration With Quantum Pickups
The RG470PB's HSH pickup layout gives you the best of both worlds, with two Quantum humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, and a Quantum single coil in the middle. This combination delivers aggressive humbucking output when you want it as well as bright, detailed single-coil tones. The Quantum pickups feature strong magnets and alloy pole pieces to produce tight low end, brilliant highs and excellent note separation. You'll enjoy accelerated bass response for fast riffing along with articulate mids and highs.
Wizard III Maple Neck Offers Speed and Playability
The RG470PB's Wizard III maple neck has a thin, flat profile that's built for speed. Its smooth, unfinished back lets your hand glide up and down effortlessly. With a 24-fret fingerboard and wide nut width, the neck offers tremendous range and comfortable playing feel. Jumbo frets maximize sustain and make string bending a breeze. The neck is also bolted on for outstanding resonance and sustain.
Rock-Solid Tuning Stability With Edge-Zero II Tremolo
No matter how wild you get with dive bombs, flutters and extreme whammy bar use, the RG470PB's Edge-Zero II locking tremolo bridge keeps you in tune. This low-profile tremolo arm focuses on playing comfort. The stud lock function increases tuning stability by securing the tremolo to the body. The bridge's smooth fine-tuners enable you to dial in your perfect intonation.
