We are selling this super rare and vintage mini portable toy organ Tomiyama Tomy TS-14 made in Japan by Sun in 1950s!
CONDITIONS: This mini organ is fully working and in good cosmetical condition for its age with some inevitable minor signs of aging. The keys are tuned despite their age! The internal fan is a bit noisy, but this detail adds to the charm of this ancient instrument. The only thing to note is that if you shake the instrument, you can hear a small piece or a screw moving around inside, but this does not affect its functionality. It comes with the original box (a bit worn) and the original printed document (check the photos)! Super rare!
It’s a very rare and elegant musical instrument and difficult to find in these cosmetical and functional conditions. This Japanese mini organ by Sun is one of the first portable organs that works only with standard batteries (it works with 4 large D-type batteries not included in the sale). Real vintage gem: grab a bargain!
DESCRIPTION: This is a cool mini portable organ. Turn it on and a fan starts pumping a cool breeze across your fingers and you’re ready to go. It has a great sound – effectively it’s a small harmonium without the bellows, or a horizonal accordion. The air gets pumped over reeds which results in a rich sound! In short, this mini organ is a lot of fun. It has a wonderful melancholy sound which evokes such musical greats as Daniel Johnston, Ivor Cutler and Beirut!
It's fantastic even just as a design item to furnish your recording studio!
