The DOD Performer Delay 585-A is a coveted relic from the early 1980s, representing the pinnacle of DOD’s "Performer" series. This AC-powered beast utilizes the legendary MN3005 Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) chip, the same high-voltage silicon found in the most iconic analog delays of the era. The 585-A is cherished for its incredibly warm, dark, and "lo-fi" repeats that melt into the background of your playing, providing a lush sense of space that digital delays simply cannot replicate.

Featuring controls for Delay, Repeat, and Mix, it makes it incredibly easy to find your favorite sounds. With a delay time ranging from approximately 60ms to 300ms, it excels at classic slapback rockabilly echoes and haunting, cavernous washes. One of the most beloved characteristics of the 585-A is its ability to self-oscillate; by cranking the Repeat knob, you can coax out those iconic "spaceship" landing sounds and pitch-shifting chirps that defined experimental rock and dub in the 80s.

For the collector or the tone-chaser looking for genuine 1980s analog warmth and that unmistakable BBD "grit" on the repeats, the DOD 585-A remains a legendary piece of delay history.

This pedal is in fair condition and good working order, with a barrell cable adapter included.
