The Ultima represents the absolute pinnacle of Gibson’s ornamentation and build quality, designed more as a piece of "playable art" than a standard production instrument.

Visual & Build Excellence

This specimen features a breathtaking AAA Grade Quilted Maple top finished in a classic Heritage Cherry Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer. The body is framed in exquisite multi-ply abalone and white binding—a premium aesthetic that carries through to the headstock. The centerpiece of this guitar is the "Tree of Life" fingerboard, featuring an intricate vine inlay of Mother of Pearl and Abalone set into a dark, solid Ebony board.

Provenance & Care

As a collector of rare instruments for over 25 years, I maintain my collection to the highest standards. This guitar has been meticulously kept in a temperature-controlled environment and has never been played. Every six months, a professional guitar technician inspects the hardware and electronics of all my instruments to ensure they remain in peak condition.

Despite its ornate appearance, this Ultima is built for performance. It features a comfortable Medium C-profile mahogany neck and weighs in at a highly desirable 7.9 lbs (3.585 kg), thanks to Gibson’s weight-relieved mahogany body.
