MXR EVH Modern High Gain Pedal
Our users rate Reverb
Eddie Van Halen's signature high gain tone — raw, uncompromised, and crushing — is now available in a single pedal on your board. Developed in direct collaboration with EVH himself, the MXR EVH Modern High Gain Pedal delivers the searing, razor-sharp distortion that defined a generation of hard rock guitar.
Dial In Your Tone Output and Gain controls let you balance saturation and clarity so even the heaviest riffs stay defined and articulate. Dedicated Bass, Mid, and Treble knobs give you surgical control over your tonal character — from thick, crunchy rhythm tones to harmonically rich, screaming lead solos.
Features That Set It Apart
- Boost switch — kicks the gain into a higher gear when it's time to push your leads over the edge
- 55Hz/80Hz low-end switch — toggle between a fatter or punchier bass response to suit any rig
- Noise Gate control — reins in unwanted noise at high gain and output levels without killing your sustain
Whether you're grinding through syncopated rhythm work or unleashing a fiery solo, this pedal gives you the power and precision to own any mix.
