For your consideration is a beautiful 1988 Yamaha Turbo Tour 14x14 tom in the beautiful "Red Wood (RW)" finish. Model number TT814T. Made in Japan during Yamaha’s classic 80s era, this is a great sounding, professional-quality drum with the build quality that Yamaha is known for.
Overall, the drum is in very nice condition for its age. The red finish presents beautifully with a deep gloss and lots of shine. There are some cosmetic marks, scratches, and normal signs of use in the exterior finish, but nothing that affects the sound or function of the drum. I've tried to capture these in the photos.
- Interior finish is flawless and bearings edges are clean and original
- Chrome hardware is clean and looks great overall. Only very minor pitting and 1 small dent on the reso side hoop (shown in the pictures).
- This drum is 100% original including every screw, tension rod and wing nut.
- Brand new Remo CS dot batter head, Ambassador reso.
A great vintage Yamaha tom from one of the most respected eras of Yamaha drum production.
