Summary:
The Vintage Select Edition series draws from Gretsch’s most influential period in the late 1950s and early 1960s, offering instruments tailored for players who value tradition and high-quality craftsmanship. The G6134T-58 Vintage Select ’58 Penguin™ with Bigsby® continues that legacy with a modern recreation of one of Gretsch’s most distinctive and rare designs. In 1958, the Penguin was enhanced with Filter’Tron™ pickups, which worked in tandem with its chambered mahogany body to elevate its tonal character. The chambering allows the body to resonate more freely, resulting in a lively, clear sound with enhanced harmonic complexity. This updated model, finished in Vintage White, is equipped with dual TV Jones® Classic™ pickups that accurately capture the classic Filter’Tron voice, delivering a warm, dynamic, and authentically vintage tone.
