Epiphone Dot Natural Gloss 2000 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have an Epiphone Dot semi-hollow electric guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Korea in 2000, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body, Maple neck and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is featured including a T-O-M style bridge, StopBar tailpiece and a set of sealed tuning machines. A pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic Humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls. 

The Maple neck plays very well, with a rather slender profile that might be described as a 

'D' shape thanks to the flattened area to the centre. This encourages ergonomic thumb positioning for a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for both chordal and melodic playing styles. The smooth lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, and at just 8 lbs is fairly easy on the shoulders too. 

The pair of humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The semi-hollow construction provides an open and airy tone with a nicely sensitive dynamic range. The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power to push your lead and solo tones to the front of the mix. The bridge position is of course brighter, and can handle a surprising amount of gain to produce a searing raw tone which is great for anything from blues to hard rock.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching, only visible under direct light under close scrutiny. The top edge demonstrates scuff marks to the front and rear face edges, which could not be removed during our cleaning process.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching, with a finish imperfection in line with the 11th fret. This can be felt beneath the fingertip on inspection, but not by the hand in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching which cannot be felt beneath the strings.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. 

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) is not included.

Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Mild tarnishing is apparent to the neck pickup cover and tailpiece which could not be removed during our cleaning process.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
