Exploring the Iconic Compression of the UA 1176
Max brings the FET compressor, invented by UA founder Bill Putnam, right to your feet—a proven effect that's long contributed to legendary studio guitar sounds, whether you're trying to make funk go funk, add soulful sustain, or inject subtle tone.

Get the warm tube compression of the Teletronix LA-2A
This legendary optical tube limiter offers softer, warmer dynamics control than the 1176. Plus, Max lets you fine-tune compression with a ratio control, offering a wider range of settings than either the vintage hardware or UAD plug-in versions.

Create funky, dirty tones with the classic Dyna Comp
Add that famous red box punch to your sound and enjoy exhilarating compression and funky overdrive.

Add the legendary UA 610 tube preamp to your rig
Get the warm detail and character of UA's iconic tube preamps and EQs, crafting the ultimate sound with ideal harmonics and grain.

[Stacking compressors to achieve unconventional tones]
Max lets you freely combine compressors, so your tone can come forward no matter how much limiting you apply.

[Personalize your pedals with the mobile app]
The UAFX Control app lets you customize compression and preamp effects, including preamp EQ settings, compressor routing, and sidechain bass filter settings.
