5×14 Ludwig 100th Anniversary snare drum from 2009, finished in stunning Black Oyster Pearl. Built in the USA as part of Ludwig’s centennial celebration, this model is based on the Maple Legacy Jazz Festival design—delivering that classic vintage tone that defined an era. This particular drum was a demo model and has been well cared for.
Tonally, it has a fat, warm, punchy response with plenty of body and a controlled crack—very much in the vein of the iconic sound associated with Ringo Starr.
