 The Yamaha DX7 II FD, released in 1987, is the enhanced successor to the original DX7, notable for its cleaner 16-bit sound engine and integrated floppy disk drive. It remains a highly sought-after vintage FM synthesizer for its professional build and "bitimbral" capabilities that allow layering two distinct sounds simultaneously
