The Source Audio Artifakt Lo Fi Effect Pedal is a compact multi effects processor designed to recreate the character and texture of vintage media formats and degraded audio gear. It combines vinyl simulation, tape modulation and saturation, bit crushing, sample rate reduction, dark reverb, filtering, compression, and glitch-style effects into a single pedal built for guitarists, synth players, producers, and experimental musicians.

Seven Dedicated Lo Fi Effect Engines
Artifakt includes seven selectable engines including radio, tape, micro reverb, crush, ladder filter, vinyl, and glitch. Each engine is carefully modeled to reproduce specific sonic artifacts such as warped vinyl pitch, cassette-style modulation, early digital degradation, and filtered broadcast tones. This makes it suitable for ambient soundscapes, indie textures, cinematic scoring, and experimental live performance.

Hands On Controls for Real Time Sound Manipulation
Front panel controls for Destruct, Filter, Mix, Vary, Mod, and effect selection allow immediate shaping of degradation depth, tone color, modulation rate, and blend. A selector switch manages bandwidth, modulation behavior, and preset access, while dual footswitches provide bypass, preset scrolling, and engine-specific performance functions. Status LEDs provide clear visual feedback during use.

Extensive Preset and MIDI Integration
The pedal stores 16 onboard presets and supports up to 128 presets via MIDI control. Full MIDI functionality is available through 3.5 mm TRS MIDI In and Thru connections, making it compatible with advanced pedalboard switching systems and studio automation. Expression pedal input via 1/4 inch TRS enables real-time parameter control during performance.

USB C Connectivity and Neuro Editing Platform
A USB Type C port connects the Artifakt to Source Audio’s Neuro 3.0 software for deep editing and preset management. Users can download additional presets, fine tune effect parameters, and configure routing options from desktop or mobile devices. This extends the pedal far beyond its front panel controls and supports detailed studio-level customization.

Professional I O and Flexible Bypass Options
Stereo inputs and outputs via 1/4 inch mono jacks allow integration into mono or stereo signal chains. The pedal offers selectable true bypass or active analog bypass to suit different rig requirements. Power is supplied via a standard 9V DC power supply with 200 mA current draw. Its brushed anodized aluminum enclosure measures 114 x 70 x 51 mm and weighs approximately 450 grams, providing durability for stage and studio environments.
