The Fender Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass V takes the timeless appeal of the Jazz Bass and supercharges it with modern upgrades for today’s most versatile bassists. Balancing classic looks and feel with expanded tonal shaping, this five-string delivers the growl, punch, and definition players expect, now with even greater control and stability.

Built with an alder body for rich resonance and finished in a striking 3-Color Sunburst, this model features a fast Modern "C" maple neck with a satin back and a smooth 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges for comfort. Fender’s noiseless pickups retain the iconic Jazz Bass bite and clarity without unwanted hum, while the newly designed active preamp provides 3-band EQ, a passive tone control, and an active/passive toggle for ultimate flexibility on stage or in the studio.

With pro-level hardware including a HiMass 5-saddle bridge, lightweight tapered tuners, and a TUSQ nut for rock-solid tuning stability, the Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass V is equally suited for tight, articulate fingerstyle, aggressive slap, or supportive grooves. Available now at Haggerty’s Music, it’s a workhorse designed for players who demand tone shaping power without sacrificing classic Jazz Bass character. Comes with Fender gig bag.
