Founded in 1977, Headway has built a legacy spanning over 45 years. In 2023, the brand released the The Eagle model as a symbol of its leap into a new era.

While retaining the style of Headway’s flagship HD-115, every specification and feature was reimagined. The model was co-developed from the ground up by the Aska Team Build craftsmen in collaboration with Headway founder Yasuo Momose.

The brand logo draws inspiration from the eagle, the ruler of the skies, with the Headway crown logo shining prominently atop.

The inlay rebuilds the eagle motif that has been a symbol of the brand since its founding, capturing a scene of the eagle spreading its wings and soaring through the sky—an image of taking flight into a new era.

The fingerboard depicts eagle feathers drifting gracefully.

Eagle feathers are said to indicate the path forward and symbolize a leap into the future, making this design a wish for new beginnings for both Headway and the players who hold this instrument.

The soundhole label features the eagle’s piercing gaze, highlighted in the theme color blue, evoking a quiet but determined spirit of challenge.

The finish showcases a deep blue gradient on the body top, fully expressing the theme color.

The resulting look is sharp, refined, and visually striking, leaving a powerful impression on all who see it.

The bracing, the core of the guitar’s sound, is based on the normal bracing used by Yasuo Momose at Headway’s founding.

It has been reimagined by custom builders Yasui and Furihata with modern adjustments to create the brand-new Mid Point Shifted X Bracing, employed for the first time on this model.

The shallow scalloped design of the braces, previously limited to Momose’s Custom Shop models, is also introduced for the first time on The Eagle.

This combination produces a sound with clear note definition, a resonant low end, and a harmonic balance that envelops every tone.

The result both preserves the traditional Headway sound and opens the door to the brand’s new possibilities.
