Original vintage c 1966 Guild X175 Manhattan hollow body in gorgeous playing shape, complete with original geib hard case!
Guild made some of the finest American instruments of the 60’s, and the “x” 175 was roughly equivalent to Gibson’s es175-d. This fine old example has just been teched and set up with D’addario 10’s, and has benefited from some tasteful player additions. She‘s been freshly refretted with medium jumbo wire, sports a vintage appropriate bigsby b3 vibrato, and has also been fitted with a pair for PAF ‘57 classics, for a bigger punch than the old mini-humbuckers.
She’s rock solid; no cracks, breaks, or repairs, and plays absolutely effortlessly. The vintage Grover machines hold excellent tune, even with vigorous bigsby surfing, and the solid spruce top, and maple back and sides have aged to sweet perfection.
Enjoy!
