Slingerland "New Rock" Outfit Drum Set 1970s - Light Blue Pearl

Here's a chance to own an incredible example of a drum set from the golden years of Slingerland drums. This four piece kit contains the following sizes: 12x8, 13x9, 16x16, 22x14". This "New Rock" Outfit is aptly named; it's been given a brand new lease on life, as it's been completely taken apart and refurbished. Shells have been cleaned and polished, hardware scrubbed til I could see my reflection, and all threads have been lubricated. The exterior is in incredible condition for its age, with almost no flaws in the chrome or scratches in the wrap. There is some minor fading of the wrap, but it is faded evenly across all four drums and you'd never know it unless you removed hardware to peek underneath. This kit is completely original aside from the new heads I put on it, and is 100% complete and functional.

I was very intentional about my choice in fitting new heads to this kit. Currently, all four drums have an original Slingerland head on the batter side. I have replaced all three tom resonant heads with brand new coated single ply heads, and have replaced the bass drum head with a Slingerland logo Powerstroke 3. This way the new owner has multiple options for using original or replacement heads as batter or resonant sides.

The only flaw in the kit (and the only reason it's not listed in excellent condition) is some ply separation in the kick drum, which does not affect the sound or structure of the drum. Please see the picture at the end of the listing and reach out before buying if you'd like more pics.

This kit really is a gem and you would have to look for a long time before seeing another example of this hard to find finish in this condition.
