Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 8x8 MP + 16x16 SE Pro Tools HD Interface

The Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 8x8 MP + 16x16 SE is a 2U rackmount multichannel audio interface built on the Symphony I/O Mk II chassis, configured here with an 8x8 MP module and a 16x16 SE module, plus Pro Tools HD connectivity over DigiLink. As delivered it provides 24 analog inputs and 24 analog outputs including 8 mic preamps, running through Apogee's flagship conversion.

• 16x16 SE: 16 balanced line inputs and 16 balanced line outputs on DB25, using Apogee's Special Edition conversion with the ESS 9822pro A/D converter

Connectivity

A Pro Tools HD option card connects the interface over DigiLink to Pro Tools HDX and HD Native systems, so it works as a Pro Tools HD interface without a Thunderbolt host. Input and monitoring settings remain available on the front-panel touchscreen.

Chassis and Control

The Symphony I/O Mk II chassis holds Apogee's flagship conversion, a front-panel color touchscreen for input selection, gain, metering, and monitor control at the rack, and two module bays for up to 32 channels. Because the I/O is modular, the same chassis can be re-specified later as the room's channel count changes. Apogee's Symphony Control software mirrors the hardware controls on the computer, and the optional Apogee Control hardware remote adds a physical level knob and assignable buttons.
