Designed to Expand Apollo x16D Systems
Engineered as a companion to the Apollo x16D, the e1x enables remote mic preamp placement anywhere on a Dante network. It unlocks Assistive Auto Gain and authentic Unison preamp emulations, allowing engineers to place preamps close to the source while maintaining centralized control and signal integrity across large systems.

Unison Preamp Modeling with Remote Control
Using Universal Audio’s Unison technology, the Apollo e1x recreates the gain staging, impedance, and tonal response of classic mic preamps from API, Neve, Manley, SSL, Avalon, and more. All parameters, including gain, phantom power, pad, polarity, and low-cut filter, are controlled remotely through UAD Console software, providing precise and repeatable results.

Standalone Dante Endpoint Without an Interface
The Apollo e1x can operate independently as a Dante mic/line preamp without requiring an Apollo interface. This makes it a flexible endpoint for distributed audio systems, allowing it to integrate seamlessly into existing Dante networks for live production, corporate AV, houses of worship, and broadcast facilities.

Power Over Ethernet for Clean Installations
Powered entirely via PoE, the e1x simplifies installation by eliminating the need for external power supplies. A single Ethernet cable carries both power and audio, reducing cable clutter and making it ideal for permanent installations, mobile rigs, and hard-to-reach mic placements.

Scalable and Flexible Mounting Options
Multiple Apollo e1x units can be linked using the included coupling bracket to create compact multi-channel setups. A built-in mic-stand mount allows secure placement at the source, while pairing with the Apollo e2m headphone amplifier and Apollo x16D creates a complete Dante-based monitoring and recording system.
