Squier by FENDER Stratocaster SST'30 "JV" 1983 - 2TS Sunburst - Japan Import

Squier by Fender Stratocaster SST’30 2TS (2-Tone Sunburst), equivalent to the Fender ST’57. Made in Japan, manufactured in 1983 at the renowned Fuji-gen factory in Japan.

The JV series was produced between 1982 and 1984. These Squiers are built at Fuji-gen, like Fenders, with the same luthiers and the same high-quality finish. The notable differences are in the wood types, the alloy used for the hardware, and the electronics.

This example is in good cosmetic condition for its age. There are some signs of wear on the body and neck, and the frets are in good condition: 6 to 6.5/10 (see photos for details). Excellent Japanese single-coil pickups, it sounds like a Stratocaster: clear, dynamic, with sweet highs and firm lows, easily rivaling a Fender ST57 :)
