2002 Ed Clark Savoy Custom
This as new Savoy Custom 'Tele' style guitar weighs 8.90 lbs. Contoured solid mahogany body with a triple-bound, two-piece, book-matched flamed maple top. One-piece 'birds eye' maple neck with wide nut width of just over 1 11/16 inches, a scale length of 25 1/2 inches and a wonderful fat profile. Maple-cap fretboard with 22 original medium jumbo frets and inlaid abalone dot position markers. Individual Schaller 'Rotamatic' locking tuners with half-moon metal buttons. Black faced headstock with "Ed Clark" inlaid in abalone. Two "butterfly" string trees with rectangular ebony spacers. Four-bolt neck plate. One plain metal-cover Seymour Duncan STK-T1n single-coil pickup (at neck) with an output of 7.79k and one black six-polepiece Seymour Duncan STL-3T (tapped) pickup (angled in bridgeplate) with an output of 14.34k. Three-layer mother-of-pearl over black and white plastic pickguard with eight screws. Two controls (one volume, one tone), the tone control with a pull/push coil-tap switch plus three-way pickup selector switch with black plastic "Barrel" tip, all on metal plate adjoining pickguard. Gold-plated control knobs with domed tops and knurled sides. Specific combined bridge/tailpiece with six individually adjustable saddles. All hardware gold-plated. The serial number is stamped on the end of the neck. Also stamped in black on the base of the neck is "Warmoth" / "Lic. / By Fender". This guitar is in mint, unplayed (9.50) condition. Housed in the original three-latch rectangular black hardshell case with black leather ends and black plush lining (9.50). (#1571)
