The Ibanez RG470DXW-WZM Wine Red Frozen Matte offers the typical high-performance characteristics of the RG series in a configuration designed for fast playing techniques and versatile rock and metal sounds. The meranti body is combined with a bolt-on Wizard III maple neck, whose slim and flat profile, together with the jatoba fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and a 15.75-inch radius (400 mm), creates the ideal conditions for fast riffs and extended solos. In terms of tone, the passive Quantum HSS pickup configuration – featuring two humbuckers at the neck and bridge positions and a single-coil in the middle position – delivers a wide spectrum of sounds, ranging from defined clean tones to powerful high-gain sounds with fast response. The tried-and-tested Edge-Zero II double-locking tremolo also enables expressive vibrato effects and extended dive bombs whilst maintaining reliable tuning stability, whilst the satin Wine Red Frozen Matte finish and black hardware round off the modern RG look.
