1989 Alembic Elan 5-string Bass with PJ pickup configuration. Bass is in overall very good shape for it's age, with some small indents in the finish that are difficult to get on camera on front. There is a ding on the neck that has been filled in with finish, but is still visible because of the translucent fill. Electronics are volume, pickup pan and the Alembic filter/Q control. Comes with hardcase. 9.9 lbs.
Control Description
- The Elan controls are volume, pan, filter, and Q switch.
- The low-pass filter adjusts the cutoff frequency from about 350Hz - 6KHz. Only frequencies below the cutoff frequency are passed. When fully open, all frequencies below 6KHz are passed through; when fully closed, only frequencies below 350 Hz are passed.
- The Q switch is on when set to the down position. When the Q switch is on, it boosts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter by about 8dB.
