The Fender Hammertone Breakup Drive is a JFET-based overdrive pedal built to capture the feel of a tube amp right on the edge of breakup. If you're looking for an "always-on" tone shaper that stays dynamic and responsive to your playing, this is a great tool. It's ideal for players who want subtle grit, amp-like touch sensitivity, and an easy way to push their clean tone into sweet saturation without going full distortion.

At its core are two selectable clipping stages that let you toggle between lighter breakup and a more saturated medium-gain response. Both modes clean up naturally with your picking dynamics or guitar's volume knob, much like a tube amp. The Tone control is wide-ranging and responsive, while the Mids switch lets you choose between a flat EQ or a pre-gain mid boost for extra punch and presence, great for leads or stacking with other pedals.

With soft-touch relay bypass, top-mounted jacks, and a rugged aluminum housing, it's built for road-ready pedalboards. It runs on either a 9V battery or standard 9V center-negative power and pulls 85mA. Whether you're enhancing a clean tone or pushing your amp a little harder, the Breakup Drive gives you warm, amp-style overdrive without fuss.
