This is a heavier weighted mallet that is suited well for bells. Provides a dark, warmer tone without the “tick” of most bell mallets

The Malletech Orchestral Series of mallets is the answer for models targeted for specific excerpts, as well as a movement toward lighter, smaller heads for certain applications. The mallets were designed in collaboration with William James, principal percussionist of the St. Louis Symphony. Will has expanded the original Orchestral line into a vast selection of sounds and tone colors, with many different materials, weights, sizes and handle types.

The Malletech Orchestral Series OR45R Mallets are an excellent choice for bell performances. They produce a rich and full-bodied tone, offering a distinct advantage over other mallets by minimizing the unwanted "tick" sound, resulting in a more pleasing and professional sound.

Back to info about the OR45B Mallets for sale in the listing that you are looking at now:

The mallets are in unused condition MINT condition.

• NOTE: The very butt end of both of the handles each has a very small brown spot (these spots are natural imperfections in the wood or from how the handles were manufactured).
• Otherwise - I don't see anything else that really stands out to comment on about the handles.

The packaging is in between Very Good and Good shape (some people might say that the packaging is in VG shape).

PLASTIC PACKAGING:

• Paper Part of the packaging: Main areas have some visible creases and areas where there is unevenness. The front right side long edge has some visible unevenness, short creases, a couple of nicks, and some very short tears / cuts. The other edges have some unevenness, some short creases, and light - but visible wear. The lower areas of the paper has more unevenness / more creases than the other areas (caused by the heads). The upper areas of each page have a few very small staple holes.
• Plastic Baggie: It has as aged / yellowed a little bit. It has some visible imperfections: some cloudiness, some light cloudy surface residue inside the bag, some creases, some unevenness, some tiny & very small nicks, some tiny dot & very short dash impressions, some other impressions, and a couple of light surface scratches. And the upper area has a couple of small / tiny holes from where the staples used to be and from when the staples were taken off.

I took several pictures of the Malletech OR45B Mallets and there are some pictures of the packaging.

NOTE: There may be a few minor imperfections that I overlooked. There maybe a few minor imperfections that can be seen in person that do not appear in the pictures. Also - there are some imperfections (glares, reflections. dust specks) that show up in the pictures that are not that visible in person.
