Here's a killer LP Custom that won't break the bank, cause you to file for a divorce, or put you in the doghouse. The Greco name is synonymous with quality guitar builds and the attention to detail on all of their cover versions of the Gibson models is uncanny. The Greco EG-1000 was one of the Japanese guitar giants top entries to the Les Paul race, sitting on top of the pinnacle of Les Paul Clones. This jaw dropping Greco is one of the finest LP style guitars we've had the privilege to lay our hands on. We are big fans of the Greco stuff and this is hands down one of our favorites to come through the shop. Made in Japan during a killer era for the immaculate copy game. Reminiscent of the famed LP Custom, it is constructed from toneful sandwich mahogany body with a maple top, that has some slight figuring and character. It has tastefully finished in a beautiful bright cherrysunburst. It sports a C profile maple neck with a super nice solid ebony fingerboard, that is un-dyed and to me looks like rosewood. It also has American made Grover tuners that were only used on their most high end models and for a very short time, due to the cost. The electronics are all original and the humbuckers sound absolutely classic thanks to the highly sought after Maxon U-3000 PAF style pickups, which are among the best ever produced for Greco. These pickups offer plenty of bark and more than a little bite. The guitar has been rocked but not abused. The top is super clean with most of the wear being on the back. There is some flaking of the finish on the top by the pickguard hole. There are also a few nicks on the back of the neck but overall this thin is absolutely in very nice player condition and is truly dialed in and ready to deliver tone that will unleash some demons. It is solid and has tons of sustain with a nice warm sound. The split diamond, open book headstock is just the cherry on top of the cake. Don't let this one slip away, it is sure to make someone a very happy camper.

The 1980 Greco EG-1000 featured a Maple top with a Mahogany body, a 3-piece Mahogany neck, and an Ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl inlays. It had a set-neck construction, two passive U-3000 PU’s, gold hardware (including waffle-back tuners), and 22 frets. Other specifications included a 24.75-inch scale length and a 5-ply binding on the back and headstock.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.

Payment, Shipping & International Duties

- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.

- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.
