Tim “Herb” Alexander provided the rhythmic backbone of the Primus’s idiosyncratic funk-metal grooves. Through the early 1990s he powered Primus’s breakthrough albums with precision and flair.
On his return to the band in 2003 he adopted this Starclassic Maple rig with triple bass drums, triple rack toms, double floor toms, Octabons and more. The set allowed him to navigate Primus’s complex arrangements live, delivering clarity, power and versatility.
He continued using this set with Primus, live and in the studio until his second departure from the band in 2009.
Included with the set is the original framed 2016 Primus concert poster seen in the photos.
The set remains in excellent condition, showing only some cosmetic scuffs and chips in the finish. There is no damage to the shells or hardware. The photos depict the conditions accurately.
The 22" bass drum is a slightly different shade of white than the rest of the set.
No cymbals or stands are included with the set. All of the included drums are listed below.
