The Vintage Reserve at Pristine Auctions is proud to present this awesome 1967 Gibson ES-355 TDSV Stereo in Cherry Sunburst Serial Number 894290 .  This instrument is without a doubt one of the best sounding and playing vintage guitars we have ever had in the shop.  This is a beautifully preserved 58 year old 355 and it presents really clean with tons of vintage mojo. This guitar is in mostly original condition.  The original tuners have been replaced with period correct  Grover Super Rotomatics.   The original tuners are included with the sale of the instrument. The extra holes from the original Waffleback tuners  have been filled.  The original toggle switch  did not survive and was replaced with a metal one.  

We are calling this instrument  Good Condition. This instrument has been toured and gigged for decades.    The body itself is unbelievably clean  with  finish checking  throughout and some very small nicks and dings.  Although this guitar was photographed with the original Tortoise Shell Pick Guar,  it is  in poor condition and this guitar does need a new pick guard and assembly. It is non usable at this point.   The original pick guard and hard ware is included with the sale.  Also the guitar was also photographed  in our shop with the original bridge. We removed the ABR-1 Bridge and replaced it with a brand new Gibson ABR-1.  For how much the guitar was used over  several decades, the bridge   and pick guard are no longer any good.  Both are included with the sale for originality purposes.    Also, the original Tortoise Shell pick guard has caused  cosmetic damage to some of the metal plating on the pickup covers and some of the metal hard wear. This is cosmetic only and these Original  Patent Sticker Pickups sounds absolutely incredible.  This guitar just oozes vintage tone and the electronics are all 100% original. The Stereo Varitone capabilities ensure this guitar is more tonally versatile than the rest of the Gibson ES Series.  

This beautiful guitar was just professionally set up with LaBella  10-46 Gauge Electric Strings and plays effortlessly up and down the  neck.  During our set up we removed the pick guard and change out the bridge. We gave the original frets a polish and they only show a hint of wear. For as much as this guitar was played the original frets are still really nice.   She will ship professionally packed  and fully insured. It comes in a Vintage Guild Hard Shell Case in very good condition.   The Original Gibson Case did not survive.
