Fender Telecaster model CTL-50R Black 'Collector Telecaster 50', type TL'72 Reissue, made in Japan in late 1984. A new product for this final 'JV' year.

The JV (Japanese Vintage) series were produced between 1982 and 1984 and are excellent guitars, noted by some to be much better than the original US series. Produced for only a few years, their value is justified, with exceptional pickups, construction, comfort, etc. Rare on the market.

Some marks of life, but very good overall condition. Perfect frets for their age: 8.5/10 (see photos for more details).

Very pleasant neck, splendid rosewood fingerboard.

Imposing pickups, with a nice saturated midrange and highs, very rock-like. Well-balanced. Versatile.
