Professional Clip-On Microphone for Guitar and Dobro
The DPA 4099 CORE+ Instrument Microphone with Guitar Clip is a compact, high-performance condenser microphone system designed for accurate close-miking of acoustic guitar, dobro, and similar stringed instruments. It delivers natural tone, strong isolation, and consistent results in live sound, studio recording, and broadcast applications while remaining visually discreet on the instrument.

High SPL Handling for Dynamic Playing Styles
This Loud SPL version is engineered to handle sound pressure levels up to 145 dB, making it well suited for aggressive strumming, percussive techniques, and amplified stage environments. The microphone captures clean transients and full tonal detail without distortion, even when positioned close to high-output instruments.

Focused Pickup with Controlled Stage Bleed
A supercardioid polar pattern keeps the microphone focused on the instrument while reducing bleed from nearby sources. This controlled pickup improves gain before feedback and ensures consistent sound in ensemble, band, and worship settings where stage volume and isolation are critical.

CORE+ Technology for Greater Clarity and Headroom
DPA’s CORE+ technology expands dynamic range and reduces harmonic distortion across the full frequency spectrum. The result is improved headroom, enhanced detail, and a more transparent sound that faithfully represents the character of the instrument across soft passages and high-energy performances.

Secure Guitar Clip with Instrument-Safe Design
The included guitar and dobro clip attaches firmly without damaging the instrument’s finish. Its design allows precise positioning near the sound source while maintaining stability during movement. The flexible gooseneck enables fast adjustments to optimize tone without interrupting performance.

Flexible Connectivity for Wired and Wireless Systems
A MicroLock connector provides a secure, reliable connection and compatibility with a wide range of wired adapters and wireless transmitters. This flexibility allows the same microphone to be used across multiple systems, making it a practical choice for touring musicians and sound professionals.

Built for Touring and Demanding Environments
With an IP58 rating, the microphone is resistant to dust and moisture, ensuring dependable operation in outdoor venues and changing conditions. Its lightweight, low-profile design keeps the setup unobtrusive while standing up to frequent transport and repeated use.
