It applies an attack envelope to each individual note played, whether it's a single note or a chord. This creates a highly musical, multi-voice effect that is extremely adaptable to any musical style.

This polyphonic attack filter is the core of PICO Swello, generating polyphonic and reversed sounds. Further modulated with a modulated low-pass filter, it achieves even more expressive tones. Swello is finely tuned, smoothing out the guitar attack for fast phrases and arpeggios. When applied more strongly, it creates dramatic swells, perfect for shaping subtly shifting ambient soundscapes and synth-style pads.

The LPF modulation timing is synchronized with the ATTACK knob setting.
