Here's a late 1930s era Gibson Black Special #4. It 100% original example These don't pop up often! The guitar would fall in the 1937-1940 range. With the exception of two professionally repaired cracks on the back, the rest of the guitar is break/crack/repair free. And the repairs are perfect. The Special #4 is a 16" L-50, with a carved spruce top, flat back maple back and sides, with a mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a V profile, and plays exceptionally well. The action is low from top to bottom. Tonally it sounds full and warm like an acoustic, but also has beautiful clarity. Sounds amazing! HSC..
