Universal Audio Volt 876 USB Recording Studio - 24x28 Audio Interface with Vintage Preamps

The Universal Audio Volt 876 is a next-generation 24-in/28-out USB audio interface designed for serious music producers, featuring eight onboard Vintage Mic Preamps and 1176-style compressors for classic analog tone. Built by the Apollo team, it delivers 32-bit/192 kHz conversion, full session recall, and mobile iOS/iPad support. With ADAT expandability for up to 24 channels, two cue mixes, and UAD Producer Suite software, the Volt 876 provides a complete recording ecosystem for bands, vocals, guitars, and synths, all in a rugged, rack-ear included chassis.

Legendary Vintage Preamps and Compression

The Volt 876’s eight Vintage Mic Preamps emulate UA’s iconic 610 tube console for warm, rich recordings, with selectable Vintage mode for harmonic saturation. Each channel includes a 76 Compressor inspired by the 1176, with presets for voice, guitars, synths, and drums (fast mode), adding punch and presence. Digitally controlled preamps offer Assistive Auto-Gain, -20 dB pad, and 48V phantom power, ensuring effortless, professional results.

High-Resolution Conversion and Connectivity

With 32-bit/192 kHz converters, the Volt 876 captures every detail with a 116 dB dynamic range (A-weighted). Eight XLR/TRS combo inputs (channels 1-8) support mics and instruments, with Hi-Z on 1-2 for guitars/bass. Two front-panel mic/line inputs with D.I. and send/return inserts (3-4) add flexibility. ADAT I/O enables expansion to three Volt 876s for a 24x28 system or integration with Apollo/ADAT gear. MIDI I/O, two headphone amps, and stereo monitor outputs complete the setup.

UAD Software Integration and Mobile Ready

The Volt 876 includes UAD Producer Suite with LA-2A/1176 compressors, Pultec EQs, PolyMAX Synth, and more, plus LUNA DAW with AI tools like Voice Control and Tempo Listen. The UAD Console app enables session recall, two low-latency cue mixes with talkback, and iPad/iPhone recording (USB-C or Lightning adapter). Standalone ADAT mode allows use as an 8x8 preamp expander with third-party interfaces.
