The WA-87jr SE (Black) is the slim version of one of the most legendary studio microphones of all time - inspired by the classic 87-style large-diaphragm condenser microphone. With its fixed cardioid characteristic and modern, transformerless circuitry, it offers transparent highs, detailed mids and a precise image that impresses with both vocals and instruments.

At the heart of the WA-87jr SE is a single-coated version of the K87-style capsule already used in Warm Audio's flagship models. This elaborately reproduced capsule is one of the most sought-after large-diaphragm capsules in studio history and provides a natural warmth and studio polish that is otherwise only known from high-priced productions.

Thanks to the fixed cardioid pattern, the microphone focuses specifically on the sound source and effectively blocks out side and rear noise. This makes it particularly suitable for vocals, podcasts, voiceovers, streaming and use with acoustic instruments. With a dynamic range of 116 dBA and ultra-low self-noise, the WA-87jr SE delivers professional results, even in less optimised rooms.

The scope of delivery includes a sturdy hard mount and a high-quality leather case, which guarantee a secure hold and protection in everyday studio or project work. Each unit is carefully tested and hand-inspected in Austin, Texas, to ensure consistent quality. Warm Audio also offers a 5-year warranty for added peace of mind.

The variant is the perfect alternative for those who need more flexibility thanks to interchangeable polar patterns.
