Fret Measuring Adapter for Calipers
Caliper Slotted Adapter: When replacing frets you can save a ton of work and time by measuring the loose frets and cherry picking frets that atre within .0005" tolerance of each other, and .0005" tolernace across each fret. You'll need two packets of frets, but the trade off reward is that you will not have to level the frets after install, instead your frets will be perfect, permitting the lowest action, not having to bow the neck with relief, deeper bends, true intonation, easy fast play... you have to experience it to appreciate the massive difference true symmetrically level frets make.
Nut Slot Gauge: Flat Feeler Gauges are far from ideal for measuring between springy strings and curved frets. Nut slots are measured from the top of the frets. Out gauge rest atop the first two or three frets, each gauge blade is true precision. Insert the blade into the slot, draw the gauge backward, did you feel a drop, the slot is too shallow. Cut a bit out of the slot and check it again, walk it in. Easier faster with greater accuracy. Simple common sense.
