1970 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty for the price of a new Gibson Custom Shop guitar. This guitar has a custom triple vintage Seymour Duncan humbucker configuration with push/pull pots. It comes from a major studio in London.

The guitar is dated as a 1970 model from its early & mild volute, missing dot over the "i" in the Gibson logo on the headstock, and its serial number stamped into the back of the headstock, which is faint and appears to be 102835 Made In USA. At over half a century old, the guitar has marks dings and scratches to be expected along with normal aging and wear. The mother-of-pearl inlays on the neck look much better than most examples from this era. There is a historical partial neck repair just below the volute that was professionally done many years ago. This has no impact on its functionality or playability. The guitar has since flown and been driven across multiple countries without issue, so no concerns there. This is a 55 year old Gibson with natural heavy relic finish earned from over half a century of rock and roll. Gibson is selling brand new Murphy Lab Custom Shop models with simulated neck breaks for $25,000! It is absolutely crazy to pay that for a brand new guitar when you can have a real Les Paul Custom over half a century old for a fraction of the price with no pretend aging.
