RARE Research & Development UNICORN/One Off P-Bass!
***Fender Research & Development Guitars don't come up for sale very often. These guitars are generally one off guitars, built and used for various product development and research in the Custom Shop. It appears this one was used for testing a spruce cap (haven't seen another) on a ash body along with testing various pickups (passive & active) for sound quality with the specific woods used. The way you see it is the way it came from the factory and is a cool piece of Fender R&D Custom Shop History***

Here's The Run Down:
As you can see this RARE One Off 2008 Fender P-Bass Research & Development Bass Guitar is in great shape overall, showing only average signs of use and wear (see pics). Being only 8 Pounds, 7 Ounces makes this guitar a total pleasure to play! There are a few dings, light scratches and marks here and there, but still very clean overall (see pics). There are NO issues with this guitar. The fret wear is low and there is some scratching on the back, but nothing unusual as pictured. The 9v battery compartment was installed at the factory to test active pickups along with this wood configuration. It left the factory as you see it with a standard passive set up. The hardware is in great shape without issue.
It truly looks, sounds and plays great.. Although, I think its set up great, everyone has their own preferences. If your not happy with its set up, it will be your responsibility and cost to have it set up to your liking.. The truss rod operates as it should.
The included Tweed Hard Case is in very good condition. There are some scuffs and marks here and there, but and all latches/hinges operate as they should and is a proper fit.
Everything operates as it should, and has never had, nor does it have any breaks, damage or repairs unless noted above.
Make sure you view all of the pics, and ask questions if you have any concerns before buying.
