The Hummingbird™ Studio Rosewood continues Gibson’s long history of producing world-famous square shoulder body designs, such as the Hummingbird, Dove™, and Songwriter models. Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, the Hummingbird Studio Rosewood is built using all-solid tonewoods, including a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer-finished Sitka spruce top for wide dynamic range, responsiveness, and balanced tone. The satin nitrocellulose lacquer-finished rosewood back and sides deliver richer low end and sparkling highs compared to traditional mahogany-bodied Hummingbirds. Its full-depth body produces rich tone with excellent volume and projection. The Advanced Response profile neck, crafted from satin-finished utile, offers smooth playability. This profile sits between Gibson’s other neck shapes—not too large or thin, but just right for many players. The rosewood fretboard features 20 frets and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, a visual hallmark of the Hummingbird. Its 16” radius enhances fast note runs and overall playability. The headstock comes equipped with Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® TUSQ® nut for rock-solid tuning stability. The belly-up rosewood bridge also includes TUSQ saddle and bridge pins.
