Alvarez Laureate Series LT70E Herringbone Sunset 12-Fret 000 Acoustic-Electric Guitar with AFC30 FlexiCase

The Alvarez LT70E Herringbone Sunset brings together premium spruce and rosewood, traditional 12-fret construction, and the refined craftsmanship of the Laureate Series. Its solid AAA North American Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides deliver a rich, articulate voice with depth, clear trebles, and expressive dynamics.

The comfortable 000 body and 12th-fret neck joint give the LT70E a classic feel, making it an inviting choice for fingerstyle arrangements, melodic passages, and acoustic accompaniment. A 25½" scale length and 1¾" nut width provide room for detailed chord voicings while retaining a full, responsive sound.

Laureate construction takes a meticulous approach to the components inside the guitar. Bridge plates, braces, side braces, and kerfing are individually selected for quality. The FS6 forward-shifted bracing is cut from quartersawn Sitka spruce and hand-sanded, with careful attention to brace weight and placement to encourage resonance and a sensitive response.

The Sunset gloss top is complemented by natural gloss rosewood back and sides, herringbone detailing, and ivoroid binding. Ebony is used for the fingerboard, headstock facing, bridge pins, and traditional single-level Laureate bridge. Premium abalone inlays, open-gear tuners, and a bone nut and saddle complete its elegant appointments.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi system pairs dual bridge-plate sensors with a built-in preamp to capture the guitar’s balance, definition, and dynamics. Its lightweight design preserves the instrument’s acoustic character, while the closed sensors help resist feedback.
