The Empress ParaEq MKII Bass is built from the ground up for bassists who want full control of their tone-whether you're on electric, upright, or synth. It's not just a repurposed version of a guitar EQ pedal; this one is fully optimized for low-end instruments. If you're a gigging bassist, session player, or just serious about dialing in your sound, this is one of the most precise and transparent EQ tools you'll find in a stompbox format.

You get three fully sweepable parametric EQ bands with adjustable Q, a responsive low shelf that adapts based on boost or cut, and up to +30dB of clean boost for punching through a mix. The high-pass and low-pass filters help clean up your signal, while the 10MΩ Hi-Z input makes it ideal for piezo pickups, especially on upright basses. And thanks to its balanced, auto-detecting TRS output, it's just as ready for studio sessions and DI setups as it is for the stage.

It's small, pedalboard-friendly, and runs with 27V of internal headroom, so you won't sacrifice dynamics or clarity. Buffered bypass and ultra-low noise design round out the package. We've seen this pedal fill a very real gap for players looking for studio-quality EQ in a road-ready form-and we're glad it exists for bassists who've been asking for exactly this.
