Yairi FYM74ce Masterworks Folk/OM Acoustic-Electric Guitar w/ Case – Natural

The Alvarez Yairi FYM74ce brings together exceptional tonewoods, meticulous Japanese craftsmanship and understated elegance. Its Folk/OM cutaway body offers a comfortable playing experience, with a solid AAA vintage Californian redwood top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides forming the heart of this Masterworks acoustic-electric.

Redwood lends warmth and sensitivity to the response, while rosewood adds depth and harmonic richness. The result is an expressive voice suited to fingerstyle passages, melodic accompaniment and nuanced strumming. Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars supports the top’s responsiveness, while Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge is designed to transfer string energy efficiently.

The one-piece mahogany neck is shaped by hand and paired with an ebony fingerboard, a 25-inch scale length and a 44 mm nut width. An extended dovetail neck joint reflects Yairi’s careful approach to construction, while the cutaway provides convenient access to the upper frets.

A natural gloss body finish highlights the redwood’s grain, complemented by ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons. Bone nut and saddle materials and ebony bridge pins complete the appointments.

For amplified performance, the LR Baggs HiFi pickup system brings the FYM74ce’s acoustic character to the stage or recording setup. Handcrafted in Japan and supplied with a brown Tolex case, this is a thoughtfully built instrument for players who value detail, feel and musical expression.
