Yairi FYM72 Masterworks Folk/OM Acoustic Guitar w/ Hardshell Case – Natural

The Yairi FYM72 combines premium Adirondack spruce and solid East Indian rosewood in a comfortable Folk/OM body. Handcrafted at the Yairi workshop in Japan, this Masterworks acoustic offers an articulate, harmonically rich voice, with a natural gloss finish that highlights its carefully selected tonewoods.

The AAAA Adirondack spruce top provides clarity, projection and headroom, responding to delicate fingerpicking as well as a stronger picking attack. Rosewood back and sides add depth and harmonic complexity, giving chords fullness while allowing individual notes to remain distinct. The result is a versatile voice suited to intricate arrangements, melodic flatpicking and expressive accompaniment.

Hand-carved FST6 forward-shifted bracing with asymmetric tone bars uses lighter braces to encourage soundboard movement while maintaining structural support. This design promotes an open, balanced response, complemented by Yairi’s ebony Direct Coupled bridge and extended dovetail neck joint.

A one-piece mahogany neck with a semi-gloss finish meets an ebony fingerboard, with a 25-inch scale length and 44 mm nut width providing a comfortable platform for detailed chord work and fingerstyle playing. The Folk/OM proportions make the FYM72 an inviting instrument for both practice and performance.

Ivoroid binding, abalone and mother-of-pearl details, and gold Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons complete its refined appearance. A bone nut and saddle and ebony bridge pins round out the appointments. Supplied with a hardshell case, the FYM72 brings together premium materials and meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
