Mosrite 'The Ramones Model' 2005 - Metallic Blue - New Old Stock, Made in USA

Here's a 2005 USA made Mosrite "The Ramones Model" in Metallic Blue finish. New old stock, minty clean, and 100% original! No breaks, cracks, repairs. It's believed that two of these are in existence. There were a few white ones made in the 90s with these same specs. One you can see Johnny playing in the Ramones - I Don't Want To Grow Up music video. This Metallic Blue guitar comes with the original work order receipt, signed by Loretta Moseley (Semi Moseley had passed away).

Mosrites were being built up until about 1992/93 when Semi Mosely died. A lot of those early ones were exported to Japan since Mosrites were (and still are) huge there. Loretta took over after Semi's death, and was doing custom orders up until 2008 (like this Ramones guitar).

The origin of the guitar is Semie Moseley realised that the biggest proponent for Mosrite guitars in the 80’s wasn’t the Ventures & Nokie Edwards, Johnny Ramone of the Ramones. And it wasn’t just any Mosrite. It was the Mark II Ventures model, a guitar Semie was so ashamed of he only made about 60 of them before selling them far across the other side of the country so that no-one would ever see them in California. So he had no interest in reissuing that model from the 60s. Instead he built a guitar he'd be proud of....not some discontinued student model (his words). It’s not known how much input Johnny actually had in the design of his signature model. It is COMPLETELY different from his #1 Mark II model. Instead of a slab body, the guitar had the famous Mosrite German carve running around the edge. There's a single class high output Mosrite humbucker in the bridge position, along with a fixed bridge tailpiece. The guitar also doesn't have a pencil thin neck profile like the Mark II model had.

The guitar comes with original paperwork, along with the original alligator brown hardshell case!
